Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer in Fairfax, VA to monitor streets, lots, and campuses for policy compliance and to assist with event parking and permit sales. The role requires independent judgment, the ability to operate a vehicle or bicycle, and strong customer service skills.

The position offers a $20 hourly pay rate and exposes staff to outdoor conditions while enforcing safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle in urban settings.
• Knowledge of local parking regulations and strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, and campus areas to enforce parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions on directions, events, locations, and policies.
• Issue citations and warnings; impound, boot, or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment, meters, signs, and upkeep.
• Assist event staff with parking for events and manage permit sales data entry.
• Other duties as assigned.
