Job summary

Qualifications

• Geography knowledge of enforcement area.
• Hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to use a handheld computer.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Understand and apply parking regulations.
• Interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Walk for extended periods.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, or campus to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance; impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Work alone and exercise judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealings with people.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment and facility upkeep and maintenance.
• Assist in collecting parking revenues and fees.
• Assist event staff with parking-related duties and lot usage control.
• Assist office staff with permit sales during peak seasons; data entry and frontline service.
• Other related duties as assigned.
