SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a friendly Cashier to create an efficient, stress-free experience for customers at our Vandalia location. You will handle payments for parking services, issue receipts or tickets, and ensure accurate cash handling while maintaining a welcoming booth environment.

You will also provide directions to city locations, assist customers with checkouts, and help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the booth.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs.
• License Requirement: The individual will only be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license, with a current address and acceptable driving record, if the individual is expected to be able to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business.
• Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to make change.
• Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisors and other employees of the organization.

Responsabilités

• Treat each customer with respect and kindness, ensuring each interaction delivers on the SP+ Promise of making every moment matter.
• Be present for all scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform, ready to assist customers.
• Count and verify starting bank
• Collect cash and validations, maintain cash security
• Issue receipts or tickets and calculate totals for customer transactions
• Operate cash register and display costs to customers
• Quote prices for parking services and provide directions to locations
• Complete lost ticket forms and resolve customer complaints with supervisor help
• Answer calls promptly and maintain booth cleanliness
• Perform inventory checks of supplies in the booth
• Record transactions and prepare daily shift report
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor
