Job summary

SP Plus Corporation is seeking a parking attendant in Chicago to manage vehicle flow, direct customers to spaces, and uphold garage policies. You will count vehicles, issue warnings, and assist guests while on duty, with an emphasis on punctuality and uniform appearance.

The role requires standing, walking, and light lifting up to 25 lbs. Schedule may include 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends; benefits and tips are available per policy.

Qualifications

• Education: less than high school or about 1 month related experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Availability for 2nd/3rd shift and weekends may be required.
• Ability to read and write simple instructions and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift.
• Write and issue violation warnings to tenants/visitors.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or by cart.
• Assist customers who forgot where they parked.
• Maintain neat appearance and be in uniform.
• Direct customers to Facility Manager if needed.
• Control traffic at entrances/exits.
• Assist in maintenance of parking equipment and tasks.
