Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Customer Service/Attendant for our Chicago garage. You will direct customers to available spaces, monitor vehicle flow, and help maintain a clean, safe lot. This on-site role requires punctuality, neat uniform, and courtesy at all times.

Eligible employees can earn tips in addition to hourly pay. The position offers shift work including evenings and weekends. Prior experience is not required, but a positive attitude and reliability are essential for

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or 1 month related experience.
• License: Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Availability to Work: 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Read/write simple instructions and communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic addition/subtraction and money calculations.
• Appearance: Neat, clean, in uniform.
• Physical Demands: Stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location during shift as needed.
• Write and issue violation warnings for garage policy violations.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or via motor carts if applicable.
• Assist customers who forget where they parked their vehicle.
• Be punctual and in uniform for every scheduled day.
• Assist customers and direct them to the Facility Manager when needed.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist with maintenance of parking equipment and other tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report accidents, hazards, or policy violations to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, spills and other issues to garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when authorized.
• Know all garage areas, major streets, landmarks and freeways.
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties.
