Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Parking Attendant in Chicago, IL. You will guide customers to open spaces, enforce garage policies, and assist with maintenance and safety tasks to ensure a smooth parking experience.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to drive a manual transmission (a plus), and flexibility for various shifts. You must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to communicate clearly with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely drive a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus.
• Availability to work special shifts (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends).
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (documentation required).
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to problems.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency and comprehend instructions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on our promise by ensuring every moment matters for clients and communicating proactively.
• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces for a seamless experience.
• Count vehicles on location during shifts as needed.
• Write and issue violation warnings for garage policy violations; patrol levels as needed.
• Provide assistance to customers who forget where they parked.
• Be present on schedule, on time, and in uniform.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when necessary if authorized.
• Know all garage areas, key streets, landmarks and freeways to help customers.
