Job summary

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company is seeking a Part-Time Security Patrol team member at Hersheypark Camping Resort to help safeguard guests, team members, and assets. The role covers patrols, incident response, and collaboration with other departments to maintain safety across HE&R venues.

Responsibilities include high-visibility patrols, traffic control, and thorough incident documentation. Must have 3+ years in safety/security and obtain RAMP certification post-employment.

Qualifications

• Criminal justice/safety/security-related training and experience preferred
• Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other team members and be able to interact with guests
• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
• Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios
• Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements
• Must have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times
• Must have the ability to handle stressful working conditions, emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountability
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
• Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and friendly atmosphere to guests and team members
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other departments and support teams
• Provide security for transporting money and financial documents
• Manage deployment of security personnel and equipment to provide effective and efficient operations during incidents
• Assess, investigate, resolve, and contain situations while taking appropriate actions based on company policy and procedures, as well as training
• Provide high-visibility patrols of buildings and grounds
• Control vehicle/pedestrian traffic when necessary
• Monitor guest behavior for compliance with event and venue policies
• Monitor crowd behavior and movement and take proactive measures to mitigate risk
• Communicate regularly with Security Management regarding training and operational issues including team member or guest concerns, losses, and unusual situations
• Create timely, thorough, and accurate incident reports through the incident documentation process
• Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to, use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations
