Job summary

County of Los Angeles invites applications for a Park Project Coordinator within the Planning and Development Agency. The role supports administration of the Department of Parks and Recreation, coordinating capital improvement and maintenance construction projects across county parks and facilities.

The ideal candidate has experience in design, construction coordination, or inspection of site development, and holds a degree in landscape architecture, engineering, or architecture.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college with a degree in landscape architecture, engineering, or architecture – AND – three years' experience in the design, construction coordination, or the inspection of buildings or site development.
  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
  • A California Class C Driver License is required at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate construction and alteration activities with construction personnel and recreation/maintenance staff to determine requirements and schedule.
  • Inspect and supervise the inspection of all construction projects including capital projects and service contracts.
  • Maintain liaison on capital projects with the County Engineer and the Chief Administrative Office.
