Counties in the United States is seeking a Parks Program Coordinator – Community Engagement (Spanish Preferred) to research, coordinate, implement, and evaluate park programs, events, outreach activities, and day-to-day operations. The role emphasizes serving diverse communities, building relationships with community organizations, and expanding the park interpretation and outdoor recreation program.

Travel to alternate locations, valid CA driver license, and required first aid/CPR

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Two years of experience coordinating or leading programs or planning large-scale events.
One year in the field of the specialized program(s) where necessary for program operation.
Ability to travel; valid California driver’s license and county driver authorization.
Advanced First Aid and CPR certificates issued by the American Red Cross before probation.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and facilitate park operations and maintenance.
Coordinate interactions with partners, volunteers, staff, contractors, licensees, and lease-holders.
Develop and evaluate park programs, special events, and community outreach activities.
Schedule, assign, train, and supervise staff, volunteers, and docents.
Recruit and recognize volunteers and contractors; manage service agreements and contracts.
