Job summary

Montgomery County Park System is seeking a Park Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at a County Park, supervise staff, and coordinate with volunteers to deliver safe, enjoyable experiences. You will manage budget, purchasing, payroll, scheduling, and reporting; coordinate maintenance with Region Manager; plan activities; pursue outside funding and partnerships; and ensure compliance with policies.

Candidates need five years in parks/recreation or related fields with supervisory

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in Parks and Recreation, Wildlife Management, Environmental Resource Management or related field with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Park Management or related field required.
• Excellent communication skills and public speaking ability.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read/write/speak English.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day park operations and supervise staff.
• Coordinate volunteers, interns, and community service workers.
• Assist with budgeting, purchasing, payroll, scheduling, and reports.
• Plan park programs, events, and maintenance projects.
• Identify funding sources including grants and partnerships.
• Coordinate with Region Manager and other staff on safety and site operations.
• Ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities and grounds.
