Job summary

Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department seeks a competent Park Supervisor to lead a regional park’s operations, staff, and visitor services. You will oversee programs, facilities, safety, and community partnerships to deliver high-quality outdoor experiences in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, budget oversight, and a passion for conservation and recreation. Expect collaboration with multiple agencies and opportunities for growth within the County Parks

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a park or related recreation field.
• One year of supervisory experience (preferably within a park or recreation environment).
• High School Diploma or GED; combination with post-secondary education may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the daily operation of a regional park and its services.
• Oversee park programs and amenities, events, and safety programs.
• Protect park resources; manage revenue-generating operations and budgets.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
• Lead staff and volunteers; hire, train, and evaluate personnel.
• Prepare and maintain reports on revenue, attendance, and safety.
