Job summary

Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Park Supervisor to lead daily operations of a regional park, including programs, facilities, safety, and events. You will hire, train, and evaluate staff and volunteers, oversee revenue-producing activities, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

Three years of park or recreation experience and one year of supervisory experience are required, along with a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

Three years of experience in a park or related recreation field.
One year of supervisory experience (preferably within a park or recreation environment).
High School Diploma or GED.
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the daily operation of a regional park and its services, facilities, and activities.
Oversee park programs and amenities, including special use events, resources protection, trails, campgrounds, and park safety.
Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise staff and volunteers; manage work schedules and duties.
Protect and manage park resources; oversee revenue-producing operations and budgeting.
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services; ensure visitor safety and park compliance.
Develop and support marketing for the park and its programs; prepare reports on revenue, attendance, and operations.
