This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. The reporting location for this position is 20828 Estrada Rd., Topanga, CA 90290 . The Angeles District is responsible for 25 of California State Park’s units and sub-units and serves ones of the most diverse and populated areas of California. The PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I works under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Chief I, the Park Maintenance Worker I will perform skilled and semiskilled structural and facility maintenance and repair work on a wide variety of park facilities, including buildings, systems, grounds, roads and trails; estimates and purchases materials and supplies; keeps tools and equipment in good condition; keeps records and prepares reports as required. May lead and train a crew of maintenance employees.
Will be required to work weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular hours.
The work schedule will be Sunday through Thursdays 7:00 am-3:30 pm.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Will walk on uneven surfaces and navigate stairs. Will work in outdoor conditions in hot or cold weather and in dust or dirt.
