SENIOR PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST – SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / FACILITY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM / DISTRICT OFFICE
The reporting location for this position is Henry Cowell Redwoods SP in Felton, CA. This position will work under the general direction of the District Superintendent I.
The Senior Park and Recreation Specialist (SPRS) will directly manage and administer all programmatic aspects of the district facility program and ensure compliance with all associated policies and regulations. As the District Facility Manager, the SPRS is responsible to act as liaison with all agencies that regulate or impact the facility management functions of the District and is the district contact person with the Department’s Chief of Facility Management Services and department Service Centers. This position plays a critical role in program development and evaluation, and analytical and administrative work, to identify and prove methods for meeting the outdoor recreational needs of the citizens of California.
The SPRS will provide programmatic development and on-going support for all essential District facility programs and associated processes. This position works with little to no supervision and may act as the District Superintendent when directed.

Special Requirement/Condition of Employment: Depending on the assigned location, the incumbent may be required to occupy state-owned housing to meet operational needs, or may be offered state-owned housing if available.
