Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 to oversee Memorial Lake State Park Complex. You will lead maintenance efforts to keep facilities, grounds, and park resources safe and welcoming while supervising staff and coordinating critical projects.

Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, full-time, with shifts that include holidays and weekends. A four-year maintenance background or equivalent training is required, plus an active driver’s license and PA residency.

Qualifications

• Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, water/wastewater treatment, or operation of construction/agricultural equipment.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Work Planning: Organize schedules, assign tasks, and ensure effective use of staff and equipment.
• Project Coordination: Prepare for construction and maintenance projects by managing materials and reviewing plans.
• Staff Supervision: Train employees, complete evaluations, and maintain personnel documentation.
• Safety Leadership: Provide safety training, maintain PPE, and promptly address hazards.
• Equipment Oversight: Guide proper use and upkeep of vehicles, tools, and construction equipment.
• Facility Maintenance: Support care of buildings, grounds, and park utility systems.
