Job summary

City of Pleasanton is seeking an entry-level Park Landscape Maintenance Worker I to support our 46 parks, trails, and open spaces. You will assist in turf care, irrigation, playground upkeep, and general park maintenance under the guidance of a Lead Park Maintenance Worker.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer service as you gain hands-on experience operating equipment and applying landscape treatments in a public environment.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of Lead Park Maintenance Worker.
• Safely operate vehicles and maintenance equipment.
• Perform turf maintenance and renovation.
• Maintain and repair playgrounds, trails, and open spaces.
• Irrigation system maintenance to improve water conservation.
• Collect trash and debris in City parks.
• Apply herbicides and pesticides per IPM plan.
• Perform carpentry repairs on park infrastructure.
