Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Valid Class C California Driver's License.
• Ability to learn maintenance and grounds keeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Mow and edge turf areas, trim shrubbery and trees, clean park grounds, toilets and patios.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of playground equipment, sports equipment, drinking fountains, bleachers, picnic tables, fences and irrigation systems.
• Assist with weed abatement program; may spray herbicides.
• Operate trucks, tractors, gang mowers, and other light to medium duty equipment.
• Prepare ball diamonds and fields for games; perform related duties as required.
