Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation in Sheridan is seeking a Maintenance Technician to learn and perform park maintenance tasks, turf, irrigation, tree and shrub care, and facility upkeep. You may work weekends, evenings, holidays, and be on snow watch as needed.

Responsibilities include mowing, fertilization, irrigation repairs, trash removal, playground maintenance, and assisting with events; must maintain tools and provide excellent service to park patrons.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in park or grounds maintenance with turf and irrigation focus.
• Valid Colorado driver license or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform turf maintenance including mowing, aeration, fertilization and irrigation.
• Assist in tree and shrub care, plantings, removals and pruning.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment; handle waste and park cleanup.
• Support events setup, material deliveries and facility maintenance tasks.
• Respond to inquiries and work with safety policies and procedures.
