Qualifications

• Some knowledge of the use of tools, equipment and materials commonly employed in municipal construction and maintenance work.

• Ability to perform manual laboring tasks for extended periods, frequently under adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains park property by mowing, weeding, and trimming grass.
• Removes garbage.
• Cleans bathrooms.
• Trims vegetation.
• Shovels snow, spreads sand, and maintains sand and salt boxes during winter.
• Rakes leaves and seeds, fertilizes, weeds, and mows grass.
• Loads and unloads material, equipment and supplies.
• Works with pick and shovel and supports more skilled workers on projects.
• Performs related work as required.
