Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is seeking a park maintenance worker in Centennial, CO. The role covers turf, irrigation, shrub and tree care, and facility maintenance across district parks.

You may work weekends, evenings, and snow watch shifts to support our operations and events. Responsibilities include mowing, pruning, trash removal, playground upkeep, and assisting with district-sponsored events and projects.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in park or grounds maintenance with turf/irrigation is preferred.
• Valid Colorado driver license or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform cultural maintenance for irrigated turf grass parks including mowing, aeration, fertilization, and irrigation.
• Assist in tree/shrub care, plantings, pruning, and bed maintenance.
• Perform trash/recyclables removal and park grounds cleanup; operate related tools.
• Maintain park shelters, restrooms, and playground equipment; assist with events.
• Inspect irrigation systems and assist with irrigation repairs as needed.
• Provide daily activity reports and participate in meetings.
