Job summary

Aiken County is seeking a Park Program Coordinator to manage daily recreation and programming operations of assigned park. Under supervision, this role develops, coordinates and implements programs, activities and events to meet community recreation and leisure needs.

The position plans and conducts a variety of programs, maintains budgets, registers participants, coordinates staff and volunteers, and ensures safety and facility maintenance across programs and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in parks, recreation and tourism, leisure services or related field.
• Experience in planning and delivering recreation programs for diverse community groups.
• Strong communication, budgeting and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, schedule, supervise and/or conduct recreation programs and events.
• Develop program budgets, seek sponsorships, and maintain financial records.
• Register participants and collect program fees.
• Coordinate supplies, equipment and transportation as needed.
• Supervise staff, volunteers and part-time workers; provide training as required.
• Evaluate programs and report attendance data for records.
• Ensure safety, facility maintenance, and responsive public inquiries.
