Job summary

Eaton Area Park & Recreation District is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to develop and oversee a wide range of programs, events, and a state-licensed day camp. You will supervise part-time staff, manage budgets, and build partnerships to deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality community experiences.

The role requires collaboration across divisions, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt programs to community needs while aligning with the District's mission and goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreation programming principles and evaluation.
• Knowledge of program and event planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation.
• Ability to develop and administer program budgets and monitor finances.
• Supervision and coaching of part-time and seasonal employees.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, supervises, and evaluates recreation programs for various user groups.
• Evaluates existing programs and identifies opportunities for new or expanded offerings.
• Develops schedules, registration information, staffing plans, and procedures.
• Monitors participation, revenues, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Coordinates facility usage in collaboration with District staff.
• Maintains supplies and equipment within budgets.
