Job summary

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business or related discipline (Accounting/Finance) preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in school / parish or business settings.
• Demonstrate understanding and support of Catholic Church teaching, mission and values.
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and regulations including GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, evaluation and communication of the parish budget, annual report, profit and loss, balance sheet, tuition receivable, accounts payable and general ledger.
• Support Operations Director in monthly variance reports and forecasts.
• Perform day-to-day accounting functions including coding payables, deposits, general ledger management.
• Oversee weekly accounting work, monthly close process, and bank reconciliation preparation.
• Administer monthly procurement card transactions and review for policy compliance.
• Manage offertory deposits and contribution records; issue annual giving letters and statements.
• Contribute to process improvements in financial operations and project tracking.
• Assist with projects, vendor relations and vendor analysis.
• Ensure internal controls and financial processes adhere to GAAP and Archdiocesan policies.
