Job summary

Guardian Angels Parish Clawson is seeking a Business Manager to replace the retiring manager. The role oversees financial, administrative, and maintenance operations in coordination with the Pastor and parish leadership.

The position also advises on financial policy compliance and reporting. Responsibilities include budgeting, salary management, staffing supervision, and IT oversight within the parish and affiliated school operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Budgeting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in payroll, human resources and facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Understand and ensure compliance with Archdiocese of Detroit financial policies and procedures, applicable tax regulations and labor laws.
• Perform and/or supervise day-to-day financial tasks.
• Manage and direct staff members performing Financial, Administrative, and Maintenance activities.
• Manage Plant & Property.
• Manage Human Resource functions/activities.
• Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate preparation of realistic parish / school budget.
• Manage budget.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for parish / school.
• Manage school tuition management system.
• Support AOD Food Services operations in school.
• Prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual government reports
• Oversee parish fundraising activities
• Oversee Information Technology Systems
