Job summary

Guardian Angels Parish Clawson is seeking a dedicated Business Manager to succeed the current leader retiring in early 2027. The role involves planning and managing financial, administrative, and maintenance operations in coordination with the Pastor, Parish Leaders, and the Parish Finance Council.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Archdiocese of Detroit policies, supervising staff, budgeting, financial reporting, payroll and HR, facilities maintenance, IT systems, and supporting

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or Business Administration degree with accounting concentration.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Budgeting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in payroll, Human Resources and Facilities Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Understand and ensure compliance with Archdiocese of Detroit financial policies and procedures, applicable tax regulations and labor laws.
• Perform and/or supervise day-to-day financial tasks.
• Manage and direct staff members performing Financial, Administrative, and Maintenance activities.
• Manage Human Resource functions/activities.
• Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate preparation of realistic parish / school budget.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for parish / school.
• Support AOD Food Services operations in school.
• Prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual government reports
• Oversee parish fundraising activities
• Oversee Information Technology Systems

Financial advisor to the Pastor, Parish Leadership Team, Parish Finance Council and Parish Organizations
