Job summary

Stord is seeking a Transportation Area Manager to lead a warehouse operations team, focusing on sortation and dock management. You will guide daily activities, coordinate with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other Ops leaders, and drive performance in a fast-paced distribution center.

This role requires hands-on leadership, meticulous scheduling, and the ability to manage carriers and drivers. You will monitor KPIs, implement process improvements, ensure safety compliance, and uphold quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required.
• Experience with automated sortation systems and WMS in high-volume settings.
• Ability to manage carriers and drivers daily; strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads.
• Own Sortation, Dock Management, and shipping department results.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other Ops leaders.
• Address operational and personnel issues; drive process improvements.
• Utilize workload planning tools to meet order fulfillment standards.
• Monitor quality, investigate discrepancies, and ensure safety standards.
