Job summary

Flagler County Government in Florida is seeking a Field Operations Coordinator to manage day-to-day demand-response, paratransit, and specialized bus operations. You will supervise staff, develop policies, and coordinate with Human Resources on engagement and safety initiatives.

The role requires leadership, collaboration with the Local Coordinating Board, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university.
• Minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in administration, operation, supervision or management of transportation.
• Possession of a valid Florida Class CDL with Passenger Transport Endorsement.
• Professional planning experience in administration and supervision of a transportation system preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of related training, education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day demand-response, paratransit, and specialized bus operations management.
• Supervise Transportation staff, including work prioritization and performance evaluations.
• Develop policies, service plans and performance measures for safe, efficient operations.
• Oversee transit services contracts, procurement and grant activities.
• Prepare operational data for annual reports and state programs.
• Coordinate with Local Coordinating Board to optimize transit plans.
• Serve as essential personnel during emergencies and evacuations.
