Job summary

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is seeking an Assistant Field Operations Supervisor for Paratransit to oversee field drivers and ensure daily service delivery with safety and policy adherence.

The role directs day-to-day operations, audits, and investigations, while maintaining customer service goals and coordinating with dispatch, maintenance, and supervisory staff. Transition to MPTA by 2027 is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Five years of Paratransit experience.
• Knowledge of service area and ability to read a map.
• Ability to use a computer to generate reports and schedules.
• Knowledge of accident investigation procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and monitor field operations.
• Direct day-to-day service delivery and ensure compliance with policies.
• Perform audits and investigations of accidents and incidents.
• Maintain daily logs and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance and other supervisors to resolve field issues.
