Job summary

Marysville School District 25 is seeking a paraprofessional to assist students under certificated staff supervision. The role supports in-classroom and learning environments, with a fixed schedule of 6 hours per day over 184 days annually.

The position reports to the Director of Special Education and operates at multiple district locations, including Quil Ceda Tulalip/Grove and the Early Learning Center. The district follows a negotiated 10-month employee salary schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ESAs requirements: 72 quarter credits OR Associate's or higher degree OR Paraprofessional Assessment with score ≥ 455
• Completion of fourteen (14) hours of Fundamental Course of Study training in first year
• Completion of an additional 70 hours of professional development within three years for General Paraeducator Certificate
• Ability to stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
• 1st Aid & CPR training within 30 days of hire and maintained
• Experience and/or training with cultural, ethnic, and language diversity preferred
• Washington State Patrol and FBI fingerprint clearance
• Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later)
• I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with IRCA
• Completion of district-required training within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Assist students in one-to-one and small group settings with instructional areas
• Assist teachers in preparation of learning materials and visual aids
• Maintain student records and grades
• Supervise students and enforce area rules
• Support safety and order in assigned areas
• Assist with attendance, materials distribution, and inventory
• Use computers and district software
• Attend meetings and trainings as required
