Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Paraprofessional assessment with the specified scores or credentials.
• Completion of 14 hours Fundamental Course of Study during the first year.
• Additional 70 hours of professional development for the General Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Diapering, toileting, and feeding of special needs students may be required.
• Clearance: FBI fingerprint, immunization, I-9, and district trainings within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group learning support in instructional areas.
• Assist teachers in preparing learning materials and visual aids.
• Support students with special needs and behavior techniques.
• Supervise students and enforce area rules to maintain safety.
• Maintain student records and collaborate on grading with teachers.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
