Job summary

Marysville School District 25 is hiring a paraprofessional to provide student support under certificated staff supervision in classrooms and learning environments. Candidates must meet WA state paraprofessional qualifications, complete required trainings, and be capable of assisting with student care activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Paraprofessional Assessment information per NWESD 189.
• Completion of 14 hours of Fundamental Course of Study training in the first year.
• Completion of 70 hours of professional development for General Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• CPR/First Aid and Right Response training maintained.
• Experience with diverse cultures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students one-to-one and in small groups to provide learning support across instructional areas.
• Assist teachers with preparation of learning materials and visual aids.
• Support students with special needs and behavior improvement strategies.
• Assist in motor skills development and speech-related activities.
• Record-keeping and maintaining students' records and grades.
• Supervise students and enforce safety and classroom rules.
• Use computers and district software; attend trainings as required.
