Job summary

Supplemental Health Care, Inc. seeks a paraprofessional to support students with special needs in partnered school districts. You will assist with academics, daily routines, and behavioral goals in a caring classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Willingness to assist with mobility and daily routines.

School Hours | Monday – Friday | Pay: $19.10 - $20.55 per hour

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children
• Prior experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management

Education (must have one of the following):

• A minimum of 60 hours of college credits, or
• Associate's degree or higher, or
• Passing score on Missouri ParaPro or Paraprofessional Assessment, or
• Completion of Missouri's online Substitute training program
• Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines
• Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency
• Assisting students with special needs who may require help with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation
• Creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive
• Teaming up with teachers, therapists, and staff to make school a great place to be
• Willingness to assist with physical or behavioral needs as required
• You’ll be part of a collaborative, caring school community
