Job summary

Litchfield High School, part of Litchfield Public Schools, is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 school year. The role focuses on supporting multilingual learners, aiding instruction, and strengthening communication between students, families, and school staff.

You will work with EL staff and teachers to promote language acquisition, classroom engagement, and student success while maintaining confidentiality and participating in professional development.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with children, families, or diverse communities preferred.
• Must complete Paraeducator Assessment or hold an associate's/bachelor's degree or equivalent credentials.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Provide academic and language support to multilingual learners in various settings.
• Reinforce instruction under licensed teachers and adapt materials as directed.
• Assist students in developing English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Collaborate with EL and classroom staff to meet student needs.
