Job summary

Litchfield High School (I.S.D. 465) is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year to support multilingual learners with academic development and instruction access.

The role involves collaboration with EL staff and families, assisting in language acquisition, and facilitating communication between students and staff. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with children, families, or diverse communities is preferred.
• Successful completion of the Paraeducator Assessment or possession of an associate's/bachelor's degree or equivalent credentials.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and language support to multilingual learners in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
• Reinforce instruction and learning objectives under licensed teachers’ direction.
• Assist students in developing English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Collaborate with EL teachers, classroom teachers, interventionists, and other support staff to meet student needs.
