Job summary

Leominster Public Schools is seeking an ELL paraprofessional at the high school level to provide classroom support for English Learners. This full-time role starts immediately for the 2024-2025 school year.

Duties include assisting students with instructional tasks, interpreting materials for class content, and attending required meetings. A diploma is required, degree preferred, with priority for Portuguese; Spanish and Haitian Creole will be considered.

Qualifications

• Diploma required; degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Portuguese preferred; Spanish and Haitian Creole will be considered.
• Experience supporting English Learners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with instructional and non-instructional tasks as assigned by the teacher.
• Interpret materials and class content for students.
• Participate in appropriate workshop programs and attend any required meetings.
• Display ethical behavior in working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies.
