De Soto Unified School Dist in De Soto High School is seeking a Center-Based Paraprofessional for 1.0 FTE in the 2026-2027 school year. The paraprofessional assists with intensive instructional programs, daily living and behavioral skills, and may provide medical care under a licensed nurse's direction.

Working 174 days per year, 7.5 hours daily, the position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), experience with children (preferred), current health certification including a negative TB

Position Function

The Center-Based Paraprofessional assists in the implementation of intensive instructional programs, including assisting with daily living and behavioral skills, and sometimes providing medical care under the direction of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children, preferred
• Current Certification of Health, including negative TB test
• Completion of clear, criminal background check

Starting Salary

$17.50/hour - commensurate with experience

Job Category

Classified, 174 workday calendar, 7.5 hrs/day (37.5 hrs/week)

Requirements

• All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
• Must submit pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.
