USD 232 invites applications for a Center-Based Paraprofessional at De Soto High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position supports intensive instructional programs, daily living and behavioral skills, and may include medical tasks under a nurse's direction.

Starting salary is $17.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, with a 7.5-hour workday across a 174-day calendar. Pre-employment TB test and background check are required.

Competenze

Position Function:

The Center-Based Paraprofessional assists in the implementation of intensive instructional programs, including assisting with daily living and behavioral skills, and sometimes providing medical care under the direction of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications Profile:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children, preferred
• Current Certification of Health, including negative TB test
• Completion of clear, criminal background check

Starting Salary

$17.50/hour- commensurate with experience

Requirements:

• Allemployees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis).If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) wecan accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
• Must submit pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.
