Job summary

Estrella Day School in Goodyear, AZ seeks a full-time Learning Coach/Lead Paraprofessional to support students with unique needs. You’ll work with certified teachers to provide academic, behavioral, and daily living support in a private special education day school setting.

You will collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the educational team to implement individualized plans, collect data, and help students participate in classroom activities using ABA and PBIS strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have on-site work in Goodyear, AZ.
• Ability to collaborate as part of a special education classroom team.
• Ability to follow teacher-directed academic and behavioral support plans.
• Ability to assist students with academic, behavioral, and daily living needs.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a classroom team to support academic instruction, behavioral needs, and individualized student goals.
• Implement lessons and activities as directed by the teacher or classroom lead, including individual, small-group, and project work.
• Follow individualized behavioral supports and behavior intervention plans.
• Assist students with routines, transitions, and activities of daily living.
• Collect and document academic and behavioral data as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Implement ABA/PBIS strategies to support student participation and success.
