Job summary

Point Quest Group in Apache Junction, AZ is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with significant needs, helping them participate in classroom activities and develop independence. You'll work 1:1 or in small groups, collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement behavior plans and instructional strategies, while maintaining a positive learning environment and proper documentation.

• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow individualized education and behavior plans.
• School-based or paraprofessional experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with significant support needs.
• Assist students with academic activities, communication, and daily living skills as needed.
• Implement behavior support plans and instructional strategies under the direction of the classroom team.
• Support students with mobility, transitions, and classroom participation.
• Reinforce social, emotional, communication, and functional life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and related service providers.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Maintain basic documentation as needed.
