Job summary

OpenTrain AI, Inc. seeks a part-time contractor to support AI training focused on mechanical CAD data creation and review. You will build fully parametric CAD models from briefs, edit existing designs, and document changes clearly in writing and conversation.

You must have substantial hands-on CAD experience with SolidWorks, FreeCAD, Fusion 360 or Inventor, plus GD&T knowledge and strong attention to detail. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Must have substantial hands-on mechanical CAD experience and strong technical judgment.
• Experience with parametric CAD workflows and documentation discipline.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Create fully parametric 3D CAD models from written briefs using feature trees and constraints.
• Edit and update existing models to meet requirements and document changes clearly.
• Check models for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and manufacturability.
• Review designs for injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting and forging.
• Apply DFMA principles and translate design intent into structured CAD data.
• Communicate technical judgments and project updates clearly in writing and in English.
