Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an experienced SolidWorks Specialist to contribute to an innovative project at the intersection of mechanical engineering and AI technology. You will create, review, and refine fully parametric CAD models and technical documentation to support AI model training, with emphasis on design intent and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks and parametric CAD modeling.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
• Practical knowledge of DFMs for various processes.
• Proficiency in mechanical design and assemblies.
• Experience with injection molding, sheet metal, and CNC processes.
• Ability to create and maintain clear design documentation.
• Experience with reverse engineering and Scan-to-CAD workflows.
• Scripting ability in Python, iLogic, or VBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create fully parametric 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
• Edit and update existing models while preserving design intent.
• Audit CAD models for dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.
• Apply DFM principles across molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting, and forging.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation for revisions and AI model training.
• Translate engineering requirements into structured CAD data for AI learning.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams and provide written updates.
