Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a part-time Transport Paramedic to join the Burnet Campus Transport Team. You will provide patient transport and care within a pediatric hospital setting, following policy, and maintaining safety and confidentiality.

The role requires Ohio Paramedic certification (Kentucky within 6 months), NREMT within 6 months, ACLS/PALS within 3 months, NRP, trauma certification within 1 year, and a valid driver's license with fewer than 5 points.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Ohio Paramedic Certification, Kentucky Paramedic certification within 6 months of hire
• NREMT within 6 months of hire
• ACLS, PALS certification within 3 months of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 6 months of hire
• Trauma certification within 1 year of hire
• Valid Driver's License with less than 5 points on driving record

Responsibilities

• Patient Transport- Perform skills as established by CCHMC Transport Team policy and procedure and guideline and the State of Ohio Board of EMS.
• Patient Care- Provide appropriate patient care during transport and give full report to clinical personnel at receiving facility.
• Safety- Foster environment that prevents accident, illness and injury and strives for continuous improvement.
• Communication- Promote open and timely communication with all members of the health care team, patients, family members and visitors.
• Confidentiality- Act in manner that maintains confidentiality, protects and safeguards patient/family personal medical and financial information.
