Job Responsibilities
- Patient Transport – Perform skills as established by CCHMC Transport Team policy and procedure and state regulations, operate emergency vehicles within applicable laws, maintain current driver’s license, national registry, and EMS certifications, and maintain clear records of incidents and equipment.
- Patient Care – Provide appropriate patient care during transport, give full report to clinical personnel, and incorporate age‑specific and culturally appropriate care.
- Safety – Foster a safe environment by ensuring crew, patients, and family adhere to safety requirements, reporting equipment malfunctions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Communication – Promote open, timely communication with healthcare team members, patients, families, and visitors, report changes in patient status, and contribute to process improvement activities.
- Confidentiality – Protect and safeguard patient and family personal medical and financial information, accessing only information necessary for duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of work experience in a related discipline.
- Ohio Paramedic Certification (Kentucky certification within 6 months of hire); NREMT within 6 months; ACLS, PALS within 3 months; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 6 months; Trauma certification within 1 year.
- Valid driver’s license with less than 5 points on the driving record.
Schedule & Compensation
Primary Location: Burnet Campus. Schedule: Full‑time, night shift (United States of America). Employee Status: Regular FTE 0.9. Weekly Hours: 36.
Annualized base pay: $23.35 – $28.46, subject to FTE status.
