Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Emergency Department is seeking a part-time Paramedic to join the transport team. You will operate EMS vehicles, provide direct patient care during transport, and hand off to clinical staff with detailed reporting.

A strong emphasis on safety, confidentiality, and adherence to state EMS regulations is required. Requirements include Ohio/Kentucky paramedic certifications, NREMT within 6 months, and ACLS/PALS with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Paramedic certification requirements as listed.
• Active driver’s license with clean driving record; points <5.

Responsibilities

• Patient Transport in line with CCHMC Transport Team policy and Ohio EMS; operate emergency vehicles legally and safely.
• Provide patient care during transport and hand off to receiving staff with full reports.
• Support safety, confidentiality, and documentation; maintain equipment and records and follow SOPs.

Skills

Experience 2+ years in related field

Education

Ohio Paramedic Certification

Kentucky Paramedic certification within 6 months

NREMT within 6 months

ACLS within 3 months

PALS within 3 months

Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 6 months

Trauma certification within 1 year

Valid Driver's License with <5 points
