Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of an accredited Paramedic Science program with current state license/certification.
• 0-1 years of EMT-P experience required.
• 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks in a safe, effective, and competent manner, adhering to established standards of care and hospital policies.
• Coordinates patient care with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Recognizes changes in patient status, promptly communicates observations to the RN, and assists in implementing appropriate interventions.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation to ensure a clear record of the care provided.
• Maintains professional communication with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families, ensuring clarity and empathy in all interactions.
• Safely administers medications in compliance with the five rights of medication administration, utilizing EMR scanning to ensure accuracy.
• Facilitates efficient patient throughput within the department, contributing to overall operational effectiveness.
• Provides rapid and effective response during emergencies, utilizing advanced life support techniques and medical interventions as required.
• Operates and maintains medical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and functionality for patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
