Qualifications

• Licensed Michigan Paramedic in good standing.
• Valid Michigan driver license and clean driving record.
• Current Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association.
• Trauma certification (PHTLS or ITLS) within 6 months of employment.
• Pediatrics certification (PEPP/PEARS/PALS) within 6 months of employment.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• EMS Safety certification within 6 months of employment.
• FEMA NIMS IC-100.b, 200.b, 700 & 800.b upon hire.
• Specialty Care Transport (SCT) and Field Training Officer (FTO) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Conserve life and alleviate suffering through advanced pre-hospital care.
• Stabilize patient condition prior to and during transport.
• Prepare supplies/equipment; drive ambulance safely to destinations.
• Communicate with medical controls and receiving facilities.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and document patient care and observations.
