Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Paramedic to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with RNs and the healthcare team to deliver efficient, compassionate care across age groups, from neonatal to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include accurate EMR documentation, safe medication administration, and rapid emergency response using advanced life support techniques.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid paramedic license and EMT-P certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with EMR documentation and hospital policies.
• Strong ability to work with RNs and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care across age groups in a fast-paced setting.
• Coordinate patient care with RNs and interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes.
• Recognize status changes and communicate with the RN for interventions.
• Complete accurate documentation in the EMR for all care provided.
• Maintain clear, empathetic communication with patients and families.
• Administer medications safely following five rights and EMR scanning.
• Support efficient patient throughput and department operations.
• Respond rapidly during emergencies with ALS techniques as required.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies for readiness.
• Perform other duties and maintain reliable attendance.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
