Job summary

Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of an accredited program in Paramedic Science with current state license/certification.
• 0-1 years of EMT-P experience required.
• 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks safely and competently per standards and policies.
• Coordinates patient care with RNs and interdisciplinary team.
• Recognizes changes in patient status and assists interventions.
• Completes accurate, timely documentation.
• Maintains professional communication with team, patients, and families.
• Administers medications in accordance with the five rights and EMR checks.
• Facilitates efficient patient throughput and emergency response.
• Operates and maintains medical equipment; ensures readiness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
