Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA seeks an Assistant Director – EMS Programs to serve as the Paramedic Program Director for the VCU Health Paramedic Program and EMS initial education courses under the Center for Trauma and Critical Care Education (CTCCE). The role ensures accreditation compliance, academic excellence, and a supportive learning environment for students.

The position reports to the CTCCE Director and leads curriculum development, program operations, and faculty

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Master's degree or higher in EMS, Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of program operations, including curriculum development, course scheduling, student recruitment and retention, and faculty management.
• Develop and maintain clinical and field affiliation agreements with EMS agencies and healthcare organizations.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (CoAEMSP) and other regulatory requirements for EMS education.
