Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a HANCO EMS Paramedic to deliver pre-hospital and trauma care within the scope of their certification. The role requires adherence to Medical Director protocols and state/federal laws while serving as the primary EMS provider for the local community.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, scene surveys, documentation, equipment checks, and ongoing training to maintain certifications.

Qualifications

• Ohio Division of EMS Paramedic certification required.
• Reciprocity for other state paramedics to obtain ODPS EMT certification before orientation.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• CPR within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license; meet BVHS fleet and insurer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-hospital and trauma care within certification scope.
• Follow Medical Director protocols and state/federal laws.
• Complete run reports accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Record all information into Ohio State Reporting program.
• Restock supplies and ensure equipment is returned to proper locations.
• Sanitize and disinfect transport vehicle and equipment.
• Participate in debriefings and stay updated on procedures.
• Keep up with pre-hospital procedures and regulations.
• Perform daily/weekly vehicle inspections and understand equipment locations on each response vehicle.
• Be proficient in operation of equipment on each response vehicle.
• Assist in building/grounds maintenance.
